Contenuti | Il corso prevede una parte teorica ed una laboratoriale. La parte teorica si focalizzerà sullo studio dei modelli di analisi della varianza, della regressione multipla e analisi della mediazione, sull’analisi fattoriale. |

Obiettivi formativi | Gli studenti dovranno essere in grado di pianificare ed eseguire una ricerca in psicologia dei processi cognitivi. |
Prerequisiti | è consigliabile aver frequentato il corso di Metodi di Ricerca in Psicologia |
Metodologie didattiche | Durante il corso gli studenti saranno guidati nella scelta critica della letteratura, nella formulazione di ipotesi e nella pianificazione ed esecuzione sperimentale. Inoltre, gli studenti saranno guidati nella scelta delle analisi, elaborazione e interpretazione dei dati e nella stesura di articoli di ricerca. |
Metodi di valutazione | L’esame fornisce un voto in trentesimi. Gli studenti devono produrre un elaborato sull’attività svolta (circa 2-3 pagine, in italiano o in inglese). L’elaborato che può essere redatto da gruppi di studenti (max 5 studenti per ogni gruppo) deve contenere: Introduzione e ipotesi, Metodi e Risultati, DIscussione e Conclusioni. Il gruppo deve inoltre inviare il codice del programma usato per l’esperimento, il link all’esperimento e il file dei dati utilizzato per le analisi statistiche. Contents | The course includes a theoretical and a laboratory part. The theoretical part will focus on the study of models of analysis of variance, multiple regression and analysis of mediation, factor analysis. |

Course objectives | Students will be expected to be able to plan and execute research in the psychology of cognitive processes. |
Prerequisites | It is advisable to have attended the Research Methods in Psychology course. |
Teaching methods | During the course, students will be guided in critical literature selection, hypothesis formulation, and experimental planning and execution. In addition, students will be guided in the selection of analyses, processing and interpretation of data, and writing research papers. |
Evaluation methods | The exam provides a grade in thirtieths. Students must produce a paper on the activity carried out (about 2-3 pages, in Italian or English). The paper that can be written by groups of students (max 5 students per group) must contain: Introduction and Hypotheses, Methods and Results, DIscussion and Conclusions. The group must also send the code of the program used for the experiment, the link to the experiment and the data file used for statistical analysis.
